A String Wound Filter Cartridge is a type of depth filter used primarily in liquid filtration. It consists of a woven string made from materials such as cotton, polypropylene, or fiberglass, wound around a central core.

Lower density fibers are at the surface and sequentially higher density fibers are used toward the center. This process traps particles more evenly throughout the cross section.
